About Paperboy Ventures

Paperboy Ventures is an integrated CPG investment platform built on three reinforcing pillars: Capital. Talent. Media. We invest in early-stage consumer brands, place leadership talent at CPG companies, and run a content ecosystem that gives us proprietary access to the best operators and companies in the space.

We’re building the operational backbone of Paperboy and looking for a sharp, creative generalist to help us scale.

About The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join Paperboy Ventures as our second FT hire.

You’ll work as the strategic right hand to the CEO, building the systems that make the business run faster, executing across every pillar of the platform, and bringing new ideas and opportunities to the table.

The responsibilities and focus of this role will be dynamic and changing. We’re looking for an expert project manager with the ability to execute across all phases of the Paperboy business, be it media, events, talent, or investing.

This role includes equity and you’ll participate in the long-term upside of the platform you’re helping build.

What You’ll Do

Strategy & Execution Partner

  • Work side by side with the CEO across every part of the business.

  • Pressure-test decisions, surface blind spots, and bring new opportunities and ideas to the table.

  • Own high-priority projects end to end, from framing the problem to shipping the outcome.

  • Help set and track company priorities and keep the operating cadence moving.

Investment & Fund Operations Support

  • Evaluate investment opportunities, bringing an additional perspective and analytical rigor to the deal process.

  • Source new deals and engage directly with founders, expanding Paperboy's pipeline through outreach, events, and community.

  • Grow and nurture Paperboy's investor and LP network to support deal flow and future fund raises.

  • Support research on prospective investments and emerging CPG categories.

  • Help finalize and polish investment memos.

Growth Marketing & Community Management

  • Grow Paperboy's audience across all media and live event properties.

  • Develop and execute campaigns that attract LPs, founders, and CPG operators into the Paperboy ecosystem.

  • Act as a dot connector across the Paperboy network, making high-impact introductions between founders, investors, operators, and retail buyers.

  • Support Paperboy events, including the Paperboy Invitational and Summit.

Systems Building

  • Manage and optimize Paperboy's internal systems: CRM, deal tracking, investor relations, and knowledge management.

  • Implement AI tools and automation where they beat manual processes, and know where they don't.

  • Create repeatable processes and playbooks that allow the business to scale without adding headcount prematurely.

  • Continuously audit and upgrade the tool stack across media, talent, and investing.

Capabilities & Background

  • You are a builder. You've created something from nothing before, be it a physical product, a social media following, a business, or anything else.

  • Expert project manager. You juggle multiple workstreams with a system for getting things done while constantly re-prioritizing as needs evolve.

  • Obsessed with the CPG industry. You think deeply about where food and beverage are headed and want a front-row seat to how the next generation of brands gets built.

  • High trust, high discretion. You'll handle sensitive investor and deal information from day one.

  • You use AI tools daily and have a sharp sense for when to automate and when a human touch wins.

  • Strong writer and communicator. You can draft a clean memo, write compelling copy, and operate clearly async.

  • Analytical and detail-oriented. Comfortable with data, spreadsheets, and financial models.

  • 3+ years of professional experience. Backgrounds in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, startup BizOps, consulting, or founder-adjacent operating roles all fit.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus meaningful equity in Paperboy Ventures. As our second full-time hire, you’ll own a real piece of everything we build. We’ll shape the comp package around the right person’s experience and what matters most to them.
